I don’t spend nearly as much time with illustration tools as I’d like. So, once in a while, I set myself a personal project to give myself some practice.
Bic is an ubiquitious, iconic brand that seems to have always been there, and throughout its life it’s maintained its logo and colour scheme. Who knows how many of their pens I’ve gotten through so far – hundreds? thousands?
I’ve no idea.
The technical object of the exercise was to copy a pen box I found lying around, and produce print-ready artwork as close to the original packaging as possible.
Just for fun, and aside from the packaging dimensions, by eye.
