La Cremà

It's around midnight on the final night of Las Fallas (traditional fiestas held in commemoration of St. Joseph in Valencia, Spain).

Huge satirical ninots (Valencian for puppets or dolls) are burnt in bonfires. This is known as La Cremà (the burning), and is the climax to a series of local events.

As the fire intesifies, the bomberos (firemen) train their hoses on the crowd and the buildings surrounding the town square.
